Outreach Evaluation Resource (OERC) at the Pacific Northwest RML.

The OERC "will facilitate effective use of planning and evaluation in the NN/LM by conducting continuing education activities, providing access to Web-based educational materials, providing information and consultation, and encouraging communication between NN/LM regional offices to foster learning and support regarding best practices. In doing so, the OERC will work with all Regional Medical Libraries (RMLs) and various other Network libraries as appropriate."

Planning and Evaluating Health Information Outreach Projects:

This 2006 series of three booklets presents step-by-step planning and evaluation methods. Along with providing information about evaluation, each booklet includes a case study and worksheets to assist with outreach planning. The booklets are designed to supplement Measuring the Difference: Guide to Planning and Evaluating Health Information Outreach and to support evaluation workshops.

Measuring the Difference

This 130-page guide is a primer (including tools and resources) for planning and evaluating health information programs. It was developed by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Pacific Northwest Region and the National Library of Medicine. Institute for Museum and Library Services - Evaluation Approach

A tutorial for libraries considering a National Leadership Grant from IMLS. Covers defining and planning the project including needs assessment, target audience, goals, activities, evaluation approach, schedule and resources.

Outcomes Toolkit Version 2.0

A four step process of conducting outcome-based evaluation. IBEC worked with several libraries around the country to develop and test the process and the evaluation instruments you will find in the toolkit. The four steps are:

Each step is discussed and is accompanied by exercises.

Evalued - a toolkit for e-library developments

A British site " designed to support information services staff in Higher Education Institutions with the evaluation of electronic information services." Four sections address how to evaluation with a step by step guide to the process, information and tips on evaluation themes, a tools archive including questionnaires, interview questions, checklists and statistics for various themes, and a site to create custom tools based on those in the toolkit.

THRIVE: A Community Approach to Address Health Disparities

Prevention Institute is updating its Community Approach to Addressing Disparities in Health with the revision of THRIVE: Toolkit for Health and Resilience in Vulnerable Environments. A centerpiece of THRIVE is a set of community level factors that are linked to Healthy People 2010 Leading Health Indicators.
