U.S. Labor Department's OSHA providing free safety and health training to employers during central Alabama construction conference
March 26 meeting being held at Hyundai Training Center, Montgomery, Ala.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will offer free safety and health training to employers during the 4th Annual Central Alabama Construction Safety Conference and Expo from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. CDT on March 26 at the Hyundai Training Center on Hyundai Boulevard in Montgomery.

"This free training is a great opportunity for employers to learn about the benefits of providing workers with effective safety and health training," said Kurt Petermeyer, OSHA's area director in Mobile, Ala. "Employers across the country are recognizing that safety pays."

The conference is jointly sponsored by OSHA; Hyundai Motor Manufacturing of Alabama; the American Society of Safety Engineers, Wiregrass Chapter; the Associated General Contractors, Alabama Chapter; the Associated Builders and Contractors Mid-Gulf Chapter; the Home Builders Association of Alabama; Alabama Power Co.; Alabama Gas Corp.; Longbow-Falcon; Cadell Construction and Coastal Insurance.

Exhibitors will offer products and services that support construction workplace safety and health programs. Meals and beverages, in addition to training, will be provided at no cost.
