Review of High Dollar Payments for Virginia Medicare Part B Claims Processed by TrailBlazer Health Enterprises for the Period January 1, 2003, Through December 31, 2005

Executive Summary

During calendar years 2003-2005, TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, the carrier for Virginia, overpaid providers $154,000 for 15 high-dollar (greater than $10,000) Medicare Part B claims. Three providers refunded six overpayments totaling $60,000 prior to our audit.
