Review of CareFirst Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland Medicare Part A Final Administrative Cost Proposals for Fiscal Years 2003 - 2005

Executive Summary

CareFirst Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Maryland (CareFirst) claimed $31.32 million in administrative costs for fiscal years 2003 through 2005. We did not question $31.25 million of this amount. However, CareFirst claimed approximately $67,000 in unallowable costs.
