National Program Management
Assistant to the NAWQA Groundwater Status and Trends (GW S&T) Coordinator, April 2006 to present

• Provide technical support for the management and coordination of activities associated with the GW S&T component of the NAWQA Program;
• Organize and maintain long-term strategic and operational plans and budgets for NAWQA groundwater activities and reports;
• Develop annual work plan guidance and budgets for data collection in 42 study units nationwide in coordination with the GW S&T Coordinator;
• Schedule and participate in conference calls and/or meetings to review study unit budgets and status of hydrologic data collection and report activities within each Principal Aquifer; coordinate these meetings with Principal Aquifer Lead Scientists and the NAWQA National Leadership Team; organize the agenda and record/track action items;
• Maintain up-to-date technical and GW S&T component support information on the web for use by study unit personnel as well as National Synthesis Teams, Principal Aquifer Lead Scientists, and others as appropriate;
• Serve as member of NAWQA Data Synthesis team charged with providing technical guidance for consistent approaches to data management, aggregation, and quality assurance for study units, National Synthesis Teams, and external data users; provide guidance for storing data in NWIS and NAWQA Data Warehouse.

Hydrologic Investigations
Groundwater Specialist for Potomac River Basin and Delmarva Peninsula NAWQA, December 2000 to April 2006

• Design and coordinate groundwater data collection networks following National program guidelines;
• Perform data and database management activities for regional groundwater studies to include sample logging and data verification, regularly checking laboratory results for accuracy and completeness; and ensuring valid data correctly stored in appropriate project and USGS databases;
• Collaborate with project staff in management, budgeting, data collection, and scientific data interpretation and presentation;
• Analyze and interpret water quality and other data to understand significant factors and processes controlling spatial and temporal trends.
