Nuclear Computational Information Group
To nurture nuclear information (computer codes and nuclear data) through the use of state-of-the-art computing technology, NCI provides collection, information analysis and distribution of relevant computing technology.
Through the Radiation Safety Information Computational Center (RSICC), NCI staff members serve as stewards of nuclear computational information in support of government programs. RSICC is committed to the dissemination of high integrity nuclear software and associated nuclear processed cross sections. RSICC is actively engaged in the collection of experimental and computational benchmarks in shielding, radiation detection, medical and health physics. RSICC promotes international exchange through the Nuclear Energy Agency Data Bank (NEADB) in France and the Research Institute of Science and Technology (RIST) in Japan.
