Victoria Champion

Victoria Champion is a Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean for Research at Indiana University School of Nursing and Program Leader for the Cancer Prevention and Control program of the Indiana University Cancer Center. She has published widely on health behaviors related to cancer screening as well as development of instruments to measure theoretical constructs related to screening. Dr. Champion has been NIH funded since 1984 and her program of research has resulted in identifying cost-effective interventions to increase mammography screening. Her measurement work has focused on developing valid and reliable instruments to measure Health Belief Model constructs.
