The USAEC Environmental Reporting Office (ERO) collects Army-wide environmental data required by Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) and DoD decision-makers. ERO provides Web-based collection and analysis tools used by installations, garrisons, the Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Army commands and HQDA.
Programs, Products, and Services
The Analysis Tools module provides the Army user with the capability to retrieve data for data review, presentation, evaluation and trends analysis. Customized reports can be created according to the individual user's needs.
AEDB it is an integrated database of the Army's environmental reporting data collected via the internet to support the Army's Environmental Programs.
The AERO portal facilitates data collection, analysis, and access to all the AEDB reporting modules and other army environmental systems. AERO generates environmental reports and performs in-depth cross-program analyses of the Army's environmental data. ERO continuously modifies and develops AERO data elements, application modules and reports to meet the Army's environmental requirements. (Valid user ID and password required for AERO access.)
The Army System Links module of the AEDB contains several environmental data collection systems to support specific Army environmental programs. It collectively provides the needed data to make sound environmental decisions to support the environment and the Army training mission.
ERO's data collection and reporting tools provide the primary source of environmental clean-up and performance information from the garrison/installation to HQDA. These tools include DoD clean-up technologies, funding estimates, and tracking to completion. The performance data includes regulatory compliance tracking and Army performance metrics.
The Decision Support Module provides current field performance information to assist Army leadership in making environmentally related decisions. Range managers can quickly and efficiently perform environmental management assessments using standardized picklists to quantify aspect, impacts and risks. Validation of new enforcement actions and summary reports are transmitted to the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM) as the actions are received.
The repository for the Document Management module allows users to search and access final, unclassified Army Cleanup and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents in a centralized location. Documents are submitted via an electronic document import tool for review and inclusion in the repository.
Required regulatory and/or Army standardized reports are readily available to the Army leadership, mission staff, and garrison support by using existing data recorded in the AEDB to include:
The practical needs of the Army environmental community and the environmental database are provided as utilities to include current environmental updates, system related status, and user information.
