Review of Oxaliplatin Billing at Hilo Medical Center for Calendar Year 2004

Executive Summary

For calendar year 2004, Hilo Medical Center billed Medicare for an incorrect number of service units for the two oxaliplatin outpatient claims that we reviewed and received overpayments totaling approximately $60,000.
