Bozeman Fish Technology Center Mission

The mission of the Bozeman Fish Technology Center (BFTC) is to work collaboratively with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Fish Hatchery System, Management Assistance Offices, Fish Health Centers, and other Federal, State, and private partners to provide technical assistance and develop innovative solutions to regional and national aquatic resource issues.  The BFTC is one of only seven Technology Centers nationwide.  The BFTC conducts research and provides assistance in the fields of Traditional Fish Culture and Water Treatment Systems, Fish Nutrition and Diet Development, Reproductive Physiology and Ecology, Sensitive Aquatic Species Conservation, and Aquatic Nuisance Species and Aquatic Ecosystem Health.
