Glacier National Park is located in the northwest corner of Montana along the spine of the Rocky Mountains, and the USGS Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center has field offices at two locations at Park Headquarters in West Glacier. West Glacier is located 25 miles east of Kalispell and approximately 156 miles north of Missoula, MT.

From I-90, take US-93 north to Polson, MT, then take MT-35 which goes along the eastern border of Flathead lake and joins MT-206 which then goes to US Highway 2. West Glacier is located off of US Highway 2. Turn left where there is a large sign for Glacier National Park, cross the Middlefork River, go through the small business district and take the next right which has a sign for the Park Headquarterts. If you reach the actual entrance to Glacier National Park then you have gone too far. Follow the map to find the two office locations, numbered as 4. (Kendall, Key, Blair) and 5. (Fagre) on the map.

From US Highway 2 heading West from Browning, MT, turn right into Glacier National Park at West Glacier, cross the Middlefork River, go through the small business district and take the next right which has a sign for the Park Headquarterts. If you reach the actual entrance to Glacier National Park then you have gone too far. Follow the map to find the two office locations, numbered as 4. (Kendall, Key, Blair) and 5. (Fagre) on the map.
