When You Arrive
This stage takes you from arriving
at ORNL gate to conducting your experiment.
Once you enter ORNL,
you must go to the Visitor's
Center to check in and pick
up your badge. The Visitor's
Center will direct you to
the appropriate facility.
Returning users may go directly
to the Central Laboratory
and Office building on Chestnut
Ridge or to the HFIR facility. Maps describing
directions to ORNL, SNS and
HFIR area are available from ORNL's Visitor Information website.
After you check-in at the User Office,
the User Office staff will give you
directions to the instrument where
you will be working. The instrument
staff and others will complete the
orientation process and authorize you
to begin your experiment.
The User Office has developed a checklist
for users that will be completed during
their stay in Oak Ridge.
