The Neutron Scattering Science Division is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of the neutron scattering instruments at the Spallation Neutron Source and the High Flux Isotope Reactor. The division operates in partnership with the neutron user community and manages a user program to support 1000 to 2000 guest scientists annually.

The division is composed of about 500 staff and is lead by Director Dean Myles.
