Our Mission
The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to American life and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family.

• Application material for the Class of 2010 is now available. Next application deadline is November 1, 2009.
• Anthony Chen (1998) received the 2009 President's Book Award from the Social Science History Association for his book, The Fifth Freedom: Jobs, Politics, and Civil Rights in the United States, 1941-1972 .
• Ron Huberman (1999) named CEO of the Chicago Public School system.
• Julissa Reynoso (1999) has been named Deputy Special Envoy to Latin America in the US Department of State.
