Opening on April 21, the NIH Library Green Terrace is an extension of the newly redesigned NIH Library and will serve as an outdoor green garden oasis for NIH staff and visitors.
The Green Terrace features a perennial garden with medicinal plants, solar panels to power terrace lighting and irrigation pumps, and a cistern for storm water management.
Preview the new space with the Virtual Green Terrace Tour (requires Media Player).
Read about the project on The NIH Library Goes Green webpage.
Join us at noon on Tuesday April 21 for the ribbon cutting ceremony and official opening of the Green Terrace, following Wendy Rieger's Earth Week talk in Lipsett Amphitheater. For more information, contact Reference & Information Services (301-496-1080, nihlibrary@nih.gov).
