Information for patient care and research is the focus of the Nursing Resources class, offered by NIH Library staff on Thursday, November 18 from 9-10:30 a.m. During the class, accessing online journals and books, ordering articles, and searching databases will be covered. Techniques for searching CINAHL® (the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) will be emphasized.
If you feel like you need help navigating and using the NIH Library's online resources, the Library Skills class will show you how to succeed in finding the information you are looking for. Whether you are a research assistant, lab assistant, support staff, or a new library user, this class will help you to become more efficient in accessing the NIH Library's resources in a variety of formats. Library Skills is also offered on November 18, from 1:30-3 p.m.
Other popular Library classes on the November calendar are EndNote® 8, Reference Manager® 11, PubMed®, and Web of Science®/PORPOISE. Dates, times, and class descriptions are detailed in the Fall/Winter 2004 Resource Training Schedule.
No registration is required for classes held at the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10. For more information, call Reference & Information Services at 301-496-1080 or visit Resource Training.
