Professional Development

The National Institute for Literacy offers a number of professional development opportunities. Trainings and workshops are generally provided at no cost through the Institute's LINCS Regional Resource Centers (RRCs). The Institute is currently offering in-depth training on Learning Disabilities in six states across the country. Information on other current trainings and workshops, including many on reading instruction, can be found through the LINCS menu on the left side of this page.

Some online Professional Development opportunities include the LINCS Discussion Lists, or Communities of Practice, as well as the online module “Understanding and Applying Research in the Classroom” and the “Assessment Strategies and Reading Profiles”, all accessible from the menu to your left.
