Dear Sir or Madam: As a licensed Private Investigator, I find soc. sec. nos. invaluable in skip-tracking, locating persons on which to serve legal documents, and in accessing related databases useful in PI work. I work as a PI for attorneys, am also a paralegal, and also serve process for attorneys for whom I work. There should be some standards developed which can protect soc. sec. nos., but which still permit soc. sec. nos. to be used for legal purposes, for PI's. Very truly yours, William Barton
