Comments:
The use of Social security numbers is critical to the private investigative industry. These numbers allow us to verify the subject we seek is in fact our subject. There are many people with the same name and dob’s. Without this very important tool, the industry would then end up serving documents and process of service to the wrong parties. As with myself, most private investigators are prior law enforcement officers and understand the importance of this tool. Possibly add a requirement to be prior law enforcement to be able to access SSN's. that would weed out most of the "bad apples" in our industry. Please help preserve the integrity of our important industry by allowing the continued use of Social security numbers. Thank you,
