In my business I need to have access to SSN for finding people, seeing about their employment, checking for insurance fraud particularly on workman's comp. cases. SSN also helps to detect common names from one another when doing court look up as well as property assessors. Some people have similar if not identical names and the SSN helps us to distinguish the right person so that we save time and money in doing our investigation. It enhances valid information for court related material.
