RE: above SSN usage SSNs are a key tool for private investigators to locate, identify, track, investigate, check the background, and eliminate other persons, in a lawful, licensed, and associated profession. The absence of such a tool has in past experience created a professional vacuum for lawful, licensed investigators, yet has no effect to the unlawful, who obtains such information for theft, fraud, or other illegal action(s). The use of such information should be granted to those in that classification, that can provide evidence of lawful business, licensure, insurance, and/or the reccomendation from an accredited association.
