Gentlemen: Please consider keeping access to legal SS# searches. As a criminal defense investigator it is one of the most important tools in locating wittnesses and at times clients in order to see that the accused receives a fair trial. In 21 years I have never abused the use of the numbers which are destroyed by shredding upon screening the information for possible leads.
