FTC: Made In The USA Comments Concerning Madeline Saulnier--P894219

Dear Secy. Clark:

I am outraged and angered with the proposed change regarding the made in the USA label. Why is this country listening to corporate executives from other countries and making changes which affect the workers here in this country? There used to be pride in the USA and the goods made here. Now, our workers will be out of work and we encourage the foreign businessmen to pay extremely low wages to their workers.

Let's put pride back in America and keep our citizens working. I do look at tags and will buy first and primary, that which is made in the USA and only if I must, will I buy merchandise from another country. We only buy American made cars. This is corporate raid at its best and I would like to see this stopped!

Just so you remember that products, meaning any parts or pieces, made in Bangkok, Mexico, etc. are not made in the USA. USA means made in CA, NY, GA, ETC. I do not want substantially made, partly made. Do not allow this to happen! It is wrong! This is not supposed to be a corporate logo! I do not want to be told what is means to be an American by someone in a foreign country!

Sincerely,

Madeline Saulnier
