Description:
Direct all aspects of testing, core outcome reporting, documentation, database (ASISTS) administration and staff training relative to NRS compliance.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide training for staff and volunteers on the use of all mandated testing instruments
• Conduct education staff training and collaborate with Director of Education to insure compliance with NRS standards and guidelines in individual learning centers and classrooms
• Collect and update required NRS student data (including goals and outcomes) and supervise the accurate administration of the ASISTS database
• Submit ASISTS reports on a timely basis to meet NYSED deadlines and compile internal LPI reports as requested by the Director of Education and Executive Director to document attendance, testing needs and areas of instruction needing improvement
• Manage two evenings a week of new student orientation for quality control of intake data and assessment processes
• Supervise full- and part-time office data entry staff and keep all staff up-to-date on database training
• Coordinate with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit volunteers for orientation and intake
• Monitor ASISTS/NRS updates, revisions and policy changes with the Literacy Assistance Center support and professional development staff
• Manage budget and project needs for LPI’s program-wide assessment
• Manage volunteers at Pre-Enrollment Program
• Other duties as required
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree minimum with Master’s preferred
• 2 years involvement in adult literacy at the data management/program management level
• Strong skills in Microsoft Access, Excel and Word and basic knowledge of fundamental database concepts
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Working experience with ASISTS database preferred
