2008 NCUA Board Meetings RescheduledOctober 17, 2007, Alexandria, Va. – The January and July 2008 open meetings of the National Credit Union Administration Board are being rescheduled to January 24, 2008, and July 24, 2008. Both meetings are scheduled to convene at 10 a.m., with a closed meeting to follow. Up-to-date 2007 and 2008 Board meeting schedules are available online at http://www.ncua.gov/NCUABoard/Calendars/board_calendar/board_calendar2008.html. The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates, charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of over 86 million account holders in all federal credit unions and a majority of state-chartered credit unions. |
