NCUA Issues Prohibition Orders

Alexandria, Va. October 16, 2007 – The National Credit Union Administration Board has issued orders prohibiting the following individuals from participating in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.

David A. Call, a former chief executive officer at Florida Health Systems Federal Credit Union, Miami, Fla., agreed to an order of prohibition , without admitting or denying fault, in order to save the time and expense of litigation.

Cindy Diana Hastie, a former employee at State Employees Credit Union, Jacksonville, Fla., pled guilty to embezzlement and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, 5 years of supervised release and ordered to pay $212,143 in restitution to the credit union.

Alisa Marie Ryan
, a former teller at Aegis Credit Union, Clinton, Iowa, pled guilty to forgery and theft and was sentenced to 5 years in prison and ordered to pay $15,240 in restitution which was suspended. She is serving 5 years of supervised release 

Michael J. Symons, a former chief executive officer at Nor-Car Federal Credit Union, Easton, Pa., pled guilty to a misapplication of funds and filing a false tax return and was sentenced to 37 months in prison, 5 years probation, and ordered to pay $1,846,800 in restitution to NCUA and $11,480 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service.

Violation of a prohibition order is a felony offense punishable by imprisonment and a fine of up to $1 million.
