Board Member Hyland Announces Schedule
for Town Hall Meetings

February 13, 2007, Alexandria, VA –National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board Member Hyland has announced the schedule for upcoming Outreach Task Force “Town Hall” meetings:

APRIL 2007:
            Date: Wednesday, April 18
            Location: Cincinnati, OH

            Date: Monday, April 23

JUNE 2007:
            Date: Wednesday, June 6     
            Location: New Orleans, LA

JULY 2007:
            Date: Monday, July 16           
            Location: Los Angeles, CA

OCTOBER 2007:

            Location: Washington, DC

The purpose of the town hall meetings is to gather input and ideas from credit unions, credit union leagues and other interested parties. The creation of the Outreach Task Force is in further response to the findings in the agency’s recently released Member Service Assessment Pilot Program (MSAP).

The National Credit Union Administration is the independent federal agency that regulates, charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), insuring the deposits of over 85 million account holders in all federal credit unions and the majority of state-chartered credit unions.
