OMH is currently developing a searchable database of performance measures for the kinds of outcomes and impacts identified in the Framework. Such a database is intended to support systematic evaluation of the effectiveness of strategies, practices and interventions being conducted relative to desired results. The database is in the planning stages and is expected to be available in FY 2010. The data fields chosen to facilitate user searches include:

A number of the measures in the documents selected by OMH are also included in an inventory of evidence-based health care quality measures recently compiled by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The measures in this inventory are those currently being used by the Divisions in HHS for quality measurement, improvement, and reporting purposes. As envisioned, the OMH performance measures inventory will differ from AHRQ's quality measures inventory primarily in its attempt to include indicators of community-/ environmental- and systems-level outcomes and impacts beyond clinical care.
