Office of the General Counsel
The Office of the General Counsel is part of the Office of the
Secretary. As principal legal officer and advisor to the Secretary, the
General Counsel serves as the chief legal officer for the Department, oversees
the work of approximately 90 lawyers, analysts, and administrative professionals
working within the Office of the General Counsel, and works closely with the
Chief Counsel's Office for each modal agency in the Department.
