The Nuclear Science and Technology Division (NSTD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, is directed by James E. Rushton. NSTD is committed to being the premier supplier of comprehensive, leading-edge science, technology, and engineering research to both government and industrial sponsors.

Mission Statement

The Nuclear Science and Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory will provide leading-edge science, technology, and engineering research that support our Nation’s nuclear science and technology enterprise across a broad spectrum of applications including but not limited to advanced nuclear power systems, nuclear medicine,and nuclear fuel cycles.
