A Guide To HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right!

The Guide is a valuable resource for assisting all institutions in their HMDA reporting. It provides a summary of responsibilities and requirements, directions for assembling the necessary tools, and step-by-step instructions for reporting HMDA data. The Guide is posted on the Internet only; paper copies are not available. The 2008 version should be used for guidance on collecting and reporting calendar year (CY) 2008 data (due March 1, 2009); the 2007 version should be used for guidance on collecting and reporting CY 2007 data (due March 1, 2008); the 2006 version should be used for CY 2006 data. 2009 A Guide To HMDA Reporting PDF File

The 2009 edition was updated to reflect MSA changes to Cape Girardeau, MO/Jackson, IL, Manhattan, KS, and North Mankato, MN. Also updated were the rules for reporting price information on higher-priced mortgage loans for which the application was taken on or after October 1, 2009, as well as other minor changes made to the text.
