Identify the type of DISN service required

Once the Customer/Sponsor determines that this is a new connection requirement, the next step is to identify the DISN network/service that is required. This involves matching Customer needs to the most appropriate DISN network or service. All Customers/ Sponsors desiring connections to the DISN must first confirm with the applicable Service Manager that the desired network or service is appropriate for the mission.

Customers/Sponsors who are not sure which network or service best meets their needs should review the description of DISN voice, video, and data services and/or contact the DISA Customer Contact Center (DCCC) at Comm: 618-220-9922, DSN: 770-9922, for assistance in determining which network or service is most appropriate for the Customer’s mission. The DCCC will facilitate contact with the appropriate DISN Service Manager.

Customers/Sponsors who are confident in the DISN Service they require will find Points of Contact (POCs) for each of the DISN networks/services in this Guide’s individual appendices.
