Senate Confirms Vice Admiral Thad Allen to be Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard
 
Washington, D.C. -- The U.S. Senate today confirmed by unanimous consent the nomination of Vice Admiral Thad Allen to be Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. The Senate Commerce Committee had reported Vice Admiral Allen's nomination to the full Senate on Thursday, March 16, 2006.
