Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA) CVTA Logo

The Commercial Vehicle Training Association (CVTA) is the national trade organization representing more than 180 Truck Driver Training Sites in the U.S.

It is easy to recommend our member schools to students because we know that each training program adheres to the high standards set forth by the CVTA. With the nation's current critical truck driver shortage, it would be easy for some schools to lower their training requirements, but we know that CVTA members maintain the highest level of ethics, and fully prepare each student for a rewarding career.

Headquartered in the Washington, DC area, the Commercial Vehicle Training Association operates approximately 180 training locations that graduate an estimated 40,000 students annually. In addition, there are 15 Motor Carrier and 27 Associate Members.

Our list of benefits is actually too long to list on our home page. Visit the Student Area for more information or select one of the links below to learn about becoming a professional driver and to find a training location.

Try the 10 Question sample test on "General Knowledge" that emulates the platform of most state-run CDL exams.

General Knowledge is a category students must learn for both Class A and Class B licenses.
