DUI Court-Martial
GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- At a special court-martial conducted on Jan 9, a master sergeant assigned to the 319th Mission Support Group pled guilty to and was convicted of physically controlling a passenger car while drunk. Specifically, he drove a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck after consuming 12 beers on Oct 26. A civilian bystander called 911 when she witnessed his Silverado swerving all over the road. He was pulled over by a North Dakota Highway Patrol officer and found with an open container of beer in his vehicle. He was arrested and given a blood test. The alcohol content in his blood was .27 percent by weight, which is more than three times the legal limit of .08 percent in North Dakota. Free tax preparation services for Warriors of the North
GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The base tax center will be available to assist most active duty servicemembers, dependents and retirees prepare and electronically file their tax returns at no cost. The tax center will be open from Tuesday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Feb. 3. Please call 747- 7TAX (747-7829) during those hours to set up an appointment. Some 1040EZ filers may even be eligible to have their returns prepared without an appointment or lengthy interview. Please call ahead during our duty hours for details.
