Senate Confirms Sotomayor As 111th Supreme Court Justice

The United States Senate confirmed Sonia Sotomayor to be the 111th Justice of the United States Supreme Court on Thursday, August 6, 2009.  The final vote was 68-31.  080609SotomayorVoteThumb

The Judiciary Committee reported the nomination by a vote of 13-6 during an executive business meeting on July 28.
