Reviewing design documents, working on engineering projects or meeting with networking engineers Senate side: Joe Adams never knows what the day is going to bring.
Adams, with technology infrastructure solutions, manages all of his varying tasks with ease, his boss Nelson Moe wrote.
Moe noted Adams has “exceptional technical ability” and a “tireless work ethic,” qualities that no doubt helped him win the CAO Distinguished Service Award in 2003.
He is also the “go-to” person for House data network technical questions and implementation issues, according to Moe. Still, he gets his thrills from the “real technical work,” he said, like designing the network for a high speed connection to the alternate computing facility.
He has also directed the Business Continuity/Disaster Recoverydesigns for the Capitol Visitor Center, and has designed voice applications in response to the industry-wide convergence of voice and data technologies.
“I’m glad to be winning this award,” Adams said.
