Technologies for remote science instrumentation enable the collection of Mars data from orbit.

As this mission is a landed mission and not an orbital mission, no technologies were contributed in this area. However, NASA's Mars Odyssey orbiter and NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter continue to explore the red planet remotely and they have returned some of the most vital martian data yet.
