In the grant announcement package, all grantees
receive a description of the review process that was used
in making funding decisions and copies of reviewer comments
from their application. We urge our grantees to consider concerns
raised by reviewers as they undertake their project as their
suggestions could, in many cases, result in stronger projects.
Any project that is carried out under a grant
must be consistent with the proposal that is approved for
funding by IMLS. Any change to a grant project’s programmatic
scope, key personnel, or budget must first be approved by
MLS. All requests for a change to a grant project shall be
signed by the authorizing official and submitted to the appropriate
IMLS program officer.
