should be shared with your community. This online Grantee
Communications Kit provides guidance for spreading the
word about your grant project. This information is divided

The Press Kit
The press kit contains suggestions and materials to assist
your public relations staff in alerting the press about
your award. In it you will find:

Additionally, Fast
Fact Sheets about your grant program will be made
available on the Web site at the time your award is made.
These facts can be used to customize your press releases.
They include a quote from our Director, a description
of the grant program, the Institute’s mission statement
and more.

Share Your Project
As a recipient of federal funds you are required to acknowledge
the Institute of Museum and Library Services when undertaking
grant-supported activities. The Share Your Project section
contains some suggestions and materials to assist you
in acknowledging the Institute and tips to help make sure
your community knows about the good work you do. This
