Areas of Interest

Information on the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) areas of interest relative to infants, children, and adolescents is organized by topic of research rather than by organizational subdivision of the Institute. Some of these overall topics are relevant to the activities of several organizational components of NIDA. Members of the Child and Adolescent Workgroup represent multiple branches, divisions, and offices of NIDA. For each topical area, one or more workgroup members are identified as contact persons. However, inquiries may be made of any workgroup member listed in the Workgroup Directory, whether identified as a contact person in a particular area of interest section or not. Furthermore, the identification of areas of interest is not meant to limit possible research topics. Research applications are encouraged on any topic relevant to the NIDA mission.
