Photo of Dr. Liu Dr. Liu is a research fellow in the Section on Neuroadaptation and Protein Metabolism in the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Mental Health, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Liu earned a Ph.D. in pharmacology in 2004 from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China. In 2006 Dr. Liu joined the Section on Neuroadaptation and Protein Metabolism where his research focus has been the study of treatment strategies in the fmr1 knockout mouse, an animal model of fragile X syndrome.
