Gus presents Congressional Appreciation Award

On Friday Gus presented the Congressional Appreciation Award to Robert L. Bouschor of Safety Harbor for his for dedicated service in the United States Naval Armed Guard during World War II.

The Congressional Appreciation Award is granted to express the admiration of Congress and the American people for devoted service to our nation. The efforts of the members of the Naval Armed Guard Service played a significant role in the safe passage of merchant ships to their destinations in various locations in Western Europe and the Pacific Theater.

Gus' Veterans’ Advisory Board joined him in presenting the award.  Comprised of local veterans from all three counties in the 9th Congressional District, the Advisory Board regularly meets with the Congressman and his staff to discuss a multitude of veterans' issues and to provide guidance and ideas for legislative initiatives, events and efforts to assist local veterans.
