Storytelling 2.0: A New Online Application for Success
Hosted by CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control

Description: Many at CDC strive to help their partners and grantees demonstrate their program’s worth and draw attention to their efforts. But pulling all of the necessary pieces together to tell a compelling success story is often a struggle.

The Division of Violence Prevention (DVP) at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control has created an easy-to-use, online application for partners and grantees to develop engaging stories about successful prevention programs, practices and strategies. This application helps build the capacity of grantees and partners to write their own success stories.

Developed as part of DVP’s new violence education Web site, VETO Violence, the success story application includes:

  • Training on success stories.
  • A worksheet and online application that walks users step-by-step through the process.
  • A standard format that fits in a 508-compliant template.
  • A searchable archive of completed success stories.
