Standardized Business Processes
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
The Army objective is to improve the delivery of civilian personnel services and products through standardization. To achieve this objective, Business Process Maps (BPMs) have been developed and placed on the Internet at http://cpol.army.mil/library/general/bpm/. To further support this endeavor, companion SOPs have been developed to provide additional description of the standardized Army processes shown in the BPMs.
SOPs have not been developed for all the BPMs. In cases where the BPMs describe the business processes and responsibilities in sufficient detail, a SOP that would only replicate the BPM is not posted. BPMs and SOPs will be reviewed periodically to determine the need for revision or greater explanation of the process.
Not all SOPs have been approved. Only SOPs in their final form will be listed on this page.
