Nanotechnology topics are of interest to governments and to industry. Intergovernmental activities through the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and other venues are undertaking harmonization of nanotechnology terminology and applications. Likewise national and international private sector standards bodies are also the gathering place for standardizing on nanotechnology matters, including terminology issues. EPA, other federal agencies and industry groups participate in standards development here in the US and internationally.

How well do government and private sector groups collaborate and how well is the US positioned regarding nanotech issues that such bodies undertake to harmonize? This presentation will give an update on some of the current activities and issues.
