Wear Yellow Day - Sting Cancer

Wear Yellow Day - Sting Cancer
Mayor Schmitt and Brown County Executive Tom Hinz proclaimed May 13th as Wear Yellow Day in Green Bay and Brown County. The two officials made the announcement at Preble High School along with the school's Sting Cancer organization and the Breast Cancer Family Foundation. Preble High School ordered 3,000 shirts to sell to students and faculty. They organized several community-wide events aimed at raising cancer awareness, celebrating survival, healthy living, and support when cancer does strike. The group received recognition from the WPS Northeastern Wisconsin Volunteer Center Awards last year.
