GES Distributed Active Archive Center TOVS On-line Data Products

This data set contains the TIROS Operational Vertical Sounder (TOVS) level 3 geophysical parameters derived using the physical retrieval algorithm designated as the so-called Path A and Path B schemes. The archive data products consist of 1 degree by 1 degree global fields of the 3-dimensional temperature-moisture structure of the atmosphere. In addition , surface skin temperature, outgoing longwave radiation, cloud fraction, cloud top height, total integrated column ozone and precipitation estimates are also available. TOVS Pathfinder data products are distributed at the Goddard Distributed Active Archive Center (GDAAC) only.

TOVS data set can be accessed through different User Views. The link in the "User View" column below takes you to a list of groupings of data products derived from the Path A and Path B system.
