Description:

Objective:

Commercialize a technology to produce biodegradable plastics concurrent with wastewater treatment.

Approach:

Operate a pilot-scale unit process at an existing wastewater treatment plant. Develop design and operational criteria for a full-scale system; patent appropriate aspects of the technology; sell the technology to an existing business or develop a business plan.

Expected Results:

Incorporation of plastic production into many municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems worldwide.
