The Timeline lists key events in the development of IAE from 2001 to today.

• June 2000 - Associate Director of OMB for Information Technology (IT) and 

            E-Government (E-Gov) appointed

• 2000 - FBO launched
• July 18, 2001 - Quicksilver project formed by OMB
• September 2001 - Quicksilver announces 24 E-Gov “electronic procurement initiatives,” including IAE (“the birth of IAE”)
• October 2001 - IAE Program Manager established
• 2002 - CCR adopted by IAE and federally funded in 2003
• July 2002 - PPIRS launched
• December 2002 - FedReg deployed
• February 2003 - FedTeDS launched
• April 17, 2003 - E-Gov Act of 2002 signed by President Bush
• April 2003 - Awarded contract for new FPDS system
• October 2003 - FBO official point of entry for contracts >$25K
• October 2003 - WDOL launched
• December 2003 - FPDS-NG launched
• June 2004 - IAE organizational change.  IAE PMO moved from GSA’s Federal Supply Service to the Office of the GSA Chief Acquisition Officer (OCAO) in GSA’s Office of Acquisition Systems (OAS)
• September 2004 - ORCA initial operating capability
• October 28, 2005 - eSRS full operating capacity
• December 2006 - new EPLS contract awarded
• March 31, 2008 - new FBO launched with FedTeDS functionality
• March 2009 - Final AOCS RFP is released
